To request approval to enroll in more than 13 units in summer term (all sessions combined), students in good standing may do so by completing the Extra Unit Authorization form for Summer 2023. The link to the form will be available closer to the start of registration.
However, this form is strictly limited at this time, and will only be processed when Nonrestrictive Registration begins (see Registration Calendar).

Students currently registered in a CSUN course in Spring 2023 cannot register to repeat that course during Summer Session until Spring 2023 grades are posted. If Spring 2023 grades are not posted in time for registration for S1 and S2, you must wait until S3 to repeat the course.
Third Repeat: Enrolling in an individual course for the third time is generally not permitted. For exceptions, consult your academic advisor and complete the Third Repeat Approval Request (PDF).
