Applying Credit to a CSUN Degree
For matriculated CSUN students, Summer Session course credits are degree-applicable as in any other term.
For non-matriculated students, there are limited number of degree-applicable units which may take in extension (i.e., special sessions in winter, spring, summer and fall terms).
- If later admitted to CSUN and matriculated in a degree-program, non-matriculated students can only apply up to the following number of credit units towards a degree program:
- Up to 24 credit units towards a bachelor’s degree.
- Up to 9 credit units towards a second baccalaureate, graduate degree, credential, or graduate credit certificate program.
In all cases, the department chair responsible for the program in question will determine which, if any, courses taken as a non-matriculated student can and should apply to a particular degree/credential/certificate program.
