The Klotz Student Health Center is available to all Tseng College Cohort, MPA On-Campus and Open University students who are enrolled in six units or more. Student Health Center fees should be paid directly to the center. You may use the health center for wellness service when you are ill or injured or when you are looking for health information and/or counseling. Most services are free and some are low cost.

In the event of an emergency or an injury to Tseng College student(s) and/or instructors; e.g. non-disaster injuries such as fainting, work-related injury, ankle sprain: For an individual emergency or injury, the policy is that the department will call campus 911. Police Services is our campus first responder.They will triage the patient and, if needed, call Los Angeles paramedics. For a minor injury, the patient may be transported to the Student Health Center by campus police or advised to consult with a private provider.

Sign Up and Fees

Signing up for access to the health center is strictly voluntary. To sign up, stop by the Klotz Student Health Center and pay your term fee before your appointment. Please bring your photo student identification card along with your payment and identify yourself as a Tseng College Cohort, MPA On-Campus or Open University student. There is no refund or proration of the term fee.

To make an appointment, call: (818) 677-3666. When you go to your appointment, bring your student ID, your medical history and a list of any medications/herbs you are taking.

Confidentiality

Your medical records are NOT available to your parents or tied to your academic record. The Health Center will not share your medical records without your permission.

Services

Basic services are free and are provided by our doctors, nurse practitioners, health educators and specialists. Education/counseling is available for nutrition, sexual health and pregnancy, smoking cessation and other substance use. Low-cost services include: pharmacy, laboratory (some free, some low cost), optometry services, dental services, acupuncture, chiropractic and massage therapy.
